Frequently asked questions
What do I need to use it?
An iPhone with iOS 16.4 or later. You don’t need to create an account.
Is it available in English?
Not yet: for now the app is in Spanish. Every structure also shows its Latin name, the international anatomical terminology, which works in any language.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. All the 3D models come built into the app, so it works just the same without cellular data or Wi‑Fi.
Is it free?
Yes. The app has no purchases and no ads.
How do I use the 3D model?
Drag with one finger to rotate, pinch to zoom in or out, and tap a structure to see its name and its card. Tap it again (or tap Isolate, Aislar) to study it on its own. At the top you choose the layer: bones, muscles, circulatory or organs. The full guide is in Settings › How to use the app (Ajustes › Cómo usar la app).
Where is my study material stored?
On your phone, inside the app. It isn’t uploaded to any server, and it’s kept when you update the app. If you uninstall the app, it’s deleted; if you have iPhone backups turned on, it’s included in them.
How do I delete a photo, a recording or a note?
In the gallery, press and hold it, or open it and tap the trash can. To delete an entire album, go to My material › Edit (Mi material › Editar).
I can’t take photos or record audio
The permission is probably turned off. Open Settings › Anatomía 101 on your iPhone and turn on Camera or Microphone. Choosing photos from your camera roll doesn’t require any permission.
I found a mistake in a name or a description
That helps us a lot. Write to us at hello@startnode.com with the name of the structure (or a screenshot) and what it should say.
Can I use it for diagnosis?
No. Anatomía 101 is an educational tool: it is not a substitute for academic materials or professional judgment, and it must not be used for clinical or diagnostic purposes.
Where do the 3D models come from?
From open anatomy projects: Z-Anatomy, BodyParts3D and the Human Reference Atlas. Attributions and licenses are on the Credits & licenses page.
